Didn't make it over to Dumpling mountain today, (story below) weather turned to crap, no point. Did make it over to King Salmon however and found a card reader for 40 bones...
Long story short, no time to edit all my photos from last week right now as I am currently sitting here at Eddies Fireplace Inn with none other than our own Herb Jacobsen who is on his way back home after a summer of Captaining a tender boat (Small world!) and Jon Kestner drinking way too much beer for 3 in the Afternoon. A great day off with great friends!
Will post some more photos next week, but here's a couple of Herb and I for now...
Herb and I at the bar just moments ago...
And... herb and I in the river! ;^)

Alaska Part 3 07/13/2012
Hey guys, would really like to fill you in on another fine week here in Alaska, but I don't have much time. My beer is getting warm here and I plan to try and take the day off tomorrow to cross the lake and hike up dumpling mountain.Photos are apparently out for the moment since my computer got wet while charging at camp and the XD card reader is not working, but thank god it wasn't the whole thing...
Socks are still running strong on the Naknek and the rainbow fishing is good, but I've been captain across the lake and over to brooks five out of the last six client days playing bear guide. It's a good gig and I like it. You can still catch all the sockeyes you want if you'd like to and if you have a couple of good sticks with you the rainbow fishing is fantastic. (Even without good sticks you can catch plenty.)...
Might see if I can update again before next Saturday if I can fing an XD card reader up here, but otherwise I'll wait.
Have a good one,
Steve
