I looked at the picture of the fish on Steve's report. Interesting that the guy caught it around midnight and he is wearing sunglasses. Hmmm?? Maybe they are night vision glasses.
The picure has other inconsistencies, but nuff said.

With all the bitching going on varioius web sites about giving up specifics I couldn't blame the guy for not telling the truth. He probably tried to be vague and got tired of everyone asking where were you? what'd you use? what time? that he decided to just make something up. Can't blame the guy there. If he told the truth there would be two hundred guys looking for that same fish. Especially if it was released in the no kill waters.

The fish appears to be a river fish by the slender body and yellow colors. It may have been a lake run at one time that stayed. I believe the guy caught it but where and when will be a mystery and should stay that way.

Go to www.michigan-sportsman.com and go to the photos section and you will see who really caught that fish. This "Tom" guy is a farse! Nice try though.

That guy made the photo on Michigan-sportsman from the one I posted. Read this thread (http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69815) and you'll see where he used it and why.

Another guy did the same thing on TSS. Get the facts straight now...

No way, This picture looks fixed to me. Having a bit of experience with shall we say, creative photography, I think the picture is bogus. Check the shadows on his head, (nose, hat bill and badge, and other face features), compare them to the light on the fish, fingers, and jacket. This guy isn't focused on the fish, or the camera. Mighty fishy to say the least. I don't care if Steve saw the picture developed on Kodak Photo Paper. A good printer and half-way decent software and you can be a s creative, or sneaky as you would like to be

The only thing looking funky to me is his arms extended out. That's the only thing I noticed.

i know steve and i'll trust his judgement. If there was a huge doubt about the pic, he wouldn't have passed it around. I would love to know that a fish of that caliber could come from the p.m. It is one helluva a good river.

I saw the picture last weekend at BBT and I have no doubt that this was a real picture. The only problem I have is that I didn't catch the hog ! I will continue to use BBT for all of my fishing needs when in the Baldwin area regardless of what the nay-sayers state.

I didn't read the whole thread, just followed the link that Steve offered to M-S.com. I will believe Steve and the pic. I seen a couple a browns in that river that would stretch the tape to well over 28+ "
