Steve - sounds like a good day. River traffic should have slowed some by then and it should still be reasonable weather wise. I would like to help - finally would be a date I could make. I don't have a boat but I would be a willing worker if I could catch a ride with someone. - Sam

I'd like to help out with the clean up this year. I have a 14 drift boat and can take up to three people. I'll be bringing a fishing buddy as well. I like the sound of steelhead fishing afterwards. I really need some schooling.

While I have no boat to bring, I am glad to help. While I have helped clean up other rivers, I have not had a chance to help on the PM. Should I call the shop for details?

Steve:
I can make it on Saturday. I will try to drive up on Friday night and fish the Pm in the Pm so I don't have to drive up so early in the AM Saturday. This will be my first time working with an organized effort to clean up the river and it sounds like a good way to meet great people.
If someone needs a ride up North please reply to samandewa@sbcglobal.net
Looking forward to helping out

I'll be there. I finally got a chance to make it up last year and im gonna plan on it this year again. Last year me and a buddy hauled a pretty good sized trash bag out just fishing in the green cottage area. Looking forward to this years event, ill try to round up a couple others.

At this piont I should be able to make it to this one also. Did the spring one for the first time and had a blast meeting new people and doing something good for the river instead of just using it. Will have one or two openings in my boat.

Gents -
It is a pleasure to see what great care and effort you all go to to preserve your fine fishery. I live in the Rocky Mountains and I am amazed at those that leave trash on the banks and trails. These RM destinations don't get hammered by the traffic y'all see in the fall, but there's always a few folks inconsiderate enough to trash a beautiful place.
I am coming up with a group in a couple of weeks and can't wait to be on the PM again.
"Pack out more than you pack in"
Keep up the great work, and thanks to BBT for a great web site and forum.

I have been fishing the PM heavily for close to a year now (Moved to the area a year ago) and have yet to go on a clean up trip and don't really know many of the "regulars" yet and would like to do both. I don't have a boat, but would be glad to hop in with anybody who has room, or if there is no room, I don't mind just walking the banks with garbage bags. My mom's 50th birthday is the 7th, so I don't know what my family might be doing for that, but I am trying to convince them to hold off until the 6th (since the 7th is a Monday). If I can do that, count me in for sure! Looking forward to it.

I had mentioned in an earlier post that I was interested, but might have had a family thing going, but I convinced them to move it up a day do I have the 5th free, so count me in for sure. Don't have a boat, but will gladly hop in with someone, or don't mind walking the banks if need be. See you all Nov. 5th.
P.S. Do I need to even bother bringing my fishing stuff, or is this strictly clean-up only?

I would like to vounteer also. I do not know anyone so I will not be one of the regulars but I do fish the PM regularly and feel I should do my part. I do not have a boat so if there are any open seats please let me know. My outings usually include my Yellow Lab, is this a no no?

The outing is just around the corner next weekend on the 5th and it looks like it should be a fairly good showing. We were right at about 30 people showing up, (If I read all of these post correctly! :) )but with the addition of some 13 members of the Western Michigan University Fly Fishing Club that brings us to a grand total of 43 participants signed up at the moment.
The Schedule is this: Ive mentioned being at the shop several times at around 7:30 am for an 8:00 am start, but thats really just because Id like to have a little time to get the various floats sorted out with those of you brining boats before trying to fill space in said boats, the traditional group photo and then departure. (While there is never any sort of guarantee, thus far weve always found room in boats for all.) That being said, I ask that those of you having a boat with or without room show up at least a little before 8:00 am to get that sorted out, the rest can show at 8:00 if theyd like a ride and want to be a part of the group photo.
One person did mention that it might be a little early if its cold out, but on that note theres nothing that says once youve gotten your river assignment you cant go to breakfast first or whatever else and hit the river a little later. (I know that in the past the problem has actually been that many want to get going even earlier!;^) Theres also no hard and fast rule that you even have to show up at the shop at all... If you cant get here until a little later you just miss the group photo, but you can stop in and see whats covered or even just hit the river on your own without stopping in and well see you in the evening. (Hopefully!)
Im not going to set dinner in stone yet as I still want to give a few more people the opportunity to sign up if they like, but Im actually leaning towards just having this one catered and do some ribs, corn on the cob and side dish kind of thing. Either way well be sure to have enough eats and a few pops and waters floating around. Itll be BYOB as usual and you might want to bring a folding chair for the diner table and or around the bon fire later. I should be all set for company and the kick off of the appreciation party around 6:00 pm at my house on the south side of the shop that evening and well try and serve up dinner sometime around 7:30 or 8:00.
Thats all I can think of right now, but Ill re-post this info and anything else I think of sometime next week. Ive got a trip this afternoon and then Herb, John and I are all out on trips tomorrow so Im hopeful that well have some good stuff to post after the weekend! Till next time guys, tight lines!

Is it too late to sign up? I can bring a boat if needed.
We'll bring a boat. How does it work for car spotting - do we need to arrange our own spotter?

Bring the boats if you have 'em guys (I'd rather have too many than not enough.) and it's never too late to sign up or show up! See you on Saturday morning...
