With all these correct ingredients (rise in river level, added stain, cooler water temps, somewhat thinning egg numbers), the fishing after this higher water subsides should bring it home for a great fall closer. The higher water also has a lot of guys fishing up high for the time being but once the lower river settles, we can have a little more elbow room with plenty of fish to go around. EGGS in brighter clowns, chartreuse, OC and other citrus themes in larger sizes will work. Stained water = heavier tippets + colder water today = somewhat tameable fish. Get out before the snow starts flying...oh wait.

Probably the only reason I hooked fish that day, Jory's in the shop, Sandguist is doing trim work in the rockies and the 2 guys in my boat couldn't sweep a fish up using c 'n d. Birthday luck for sure.
