Water was pretty high so we decided to go with plan B and stay OUT of the water. Then after we hooked a bajillion fish, the Russians and Asians took over our spot. The secret recipe seemed to be a hot pink jig with pink bags (but shhh don't tell them!)

Nicely done.. Your pics offer a different backdrop from what we are used to seeing...

Different backdrop indeed. When I first moved to GR I wished I could spend more time on the PM, White, Mo etc. but being short on gas money led to me learning how to fish 6th street. Surprisingly, you can still find some peace standing out in the riffles getting a line wet after a day of class.

It also helps that the Grand gets one of the largest steelhead runs in the state and atleast compared to PM fish they're...well...dumb :D

Yes you have to wonder when you're the one hammering the fish.. and you're using stinky spawn sacs on bright jigs.. and wiggling them to get hits. haha- only in the grand. I think it's because it's so dang mucky in there. Did a project on sewage overflow in the grand a few years ago and that was information I was not pleased to hear!

The fish are not as spooked in the grand as they are in the PM. Especially right by the post office I see.... People can say all they want about the grand but it is one of the best steelie rivers around, IMO even better than the PM, and I love the PM.....
