Pheasant Hunting Trip

Anyone interested in taking a trip out west (S Dakota, etc.) to do some pheasant hunting this fall? I don't have any details yet, just wondering if I can get a few folks together. We could do a complete lodge package or a DIY. I want to get out there while my Lab is still in her prime.

Not tryin' to rain on your parade, but you're sort of behind the 8 ball coming to the party so late. You'll find a lot of the lodging booked up. Check out Kansas, the season opens later in the year so you might be able to find some open lodging. Check out the state parks, many have cabins you can rent at very reasonable prices.

You'll find plenty of lodging yet, we go every year, and dont book anything until the week before and never have any issues finding a place to stay. Last year we ended up going with a guide who happens to be in our family tree, he runs platte creek lodge, they have 3 different lodges, LOTS of property, and theyre great guys to hunt with, we were only able to be gone for 4 days due to work, but had a blast and killed our birds everyday, unfortunately it doesnt look like we'll be making it this year.........

sounds like you've had better luck booking on short notice. We typically book our lodging for the next year on the day we head home. This year we're heading to Kansas and had it booked in May.
Juust curious what are the rates for Platte Creek?

Not this year but next yeah I have a group of guys going. We are planning on a diy hunt 4-6 guys, we have 3 committed right now, so if ya want I will shoot u a pm this spring. Good luck on your hunt!
