After doing the taxes had a couple of hours to go fishing and called my son-in-law who has recently taken up fishing....After helping some people get unstuck (why the heck do people drive down two tracks with bald tires, small front wheel drive and no ground clearance I'll never figure out) We made it to the creek. Ryan was tossing streamers and had a short tug and off...but definitly a fish. Thought that was pretty good considering the currents were really tough in that area. Watched him fishing the seams and working the line amazed how far he's come in such a short time. I had just made a cast towards him when WHAM the rod jerks down and he thought at first I had hooked him, when the line shoots upstream he knew he was hooked. Great fight, pulling him from a snag and then a great looking steelhead was his.
Of course I didn't have a camera, his phone was in the truck so no pictures to share...just a great memory and a lot of high fives
