He aint huge... I figured em around 17" but is definatly by far my biggest brown I have EVER caught........ Sadly I wasnt targetting browns, was actualy after kings.... Caught em on spin tackle with a blue and white thundercrank... Fish hit twice, and I buttoned em on the 2nd hit... could tell right away it wasnt a king, but definatly was NOT expecting my biggest ever brown!! When I seen the fish come out of the water I could not stop yelling and screaming, never been so excited to catch a fish before!!! I was stoked, thought I would share it with you all!!!

nice fish man. thats what really got me into fishing trout years ago was hooking up with a few good browns or bows while king fishing in the fall. same with steelhead. now i mostly fish for trout and steelhead during the salmon run. for me, fishing for trout in the fall near some spawning kings has been my most effective way to target quality trout. did you have any luck with some early kings? i was thinking about making a trip next week.

Nice fish, just to let ya know if you love catchting browns, wake fishing and hopper fishing has been good lately. Going into the primetime for the guys who like to fish 3rd shift.
Great fish, Kyle. I would also take that over a king anyday.

The whole salmon camp thing is basically jsut an excuse for us to get up north for a weekend, spend some time on yet another beautiful river and enjoy ourselves!! We did not do too good on the early kings, seen a few fish around, but only seen 1 fish hooked for a short little bit......
I would love to target these browns more often!! I dont really care much about kings, but the brown, rainbow and brook trout spike my interest, I have grown up steelhead fishing my whole life, just never really got into the trout fishing scene much........

I hear ya, Kyle. Nothing wrong with chasing river kings when done right. You guys were throwing hardware...well done.

Great fish....congrats. I like doing the salmon thing 2-3 times a year. Its fun chasing bruisers around and makes you appreciate the solitude of winter.

Congrats on a nice fish.
I love fishing for big stream trout. They are what gets ones blood pumping. By far more fun than any salmon or steelhead IMHO. Those lake run fish could never enter the river and I would not miss them. The great thing about big stream trout they are there all year. So many different ways to target them too.
Hardware and flies are my favorite and most effective for fish over 20" for me. Live bait has its place in the game but its hard to cover lots of water quickly and effectively. Because of that it limits the number of big trout you get a hook in front of. That is half the battle.
Still bait fishing is a art to do it effectively day in and day out.
