lots of good trout action between now and then oh and peace and quiet which typically can't be found during the steelhead and salmon runs...you know if you're into enjoying nature and that whole bit :p

Good coho streams are typically bright in color (pink or orange) and tied with some flash. I would start with some pink rabbit strips and marabou and a bundle of flashabou. Grab a cold one, sit down at the vise, and see what comes out! When they want to eat they typically aren't too picky.

I tie a fly pattern I found on line from Alaska , it's called Flesh Fly. It doesn't look like much in the fly box but toss it in the river and it's fantastic!!.

Tail: Tan bunny strip
Body: Cross cut bunny palmered from the rear to the head and tied off.

I use both pink or orange bunny on mine. I fish it up and across and let it drift down stream. good luck......:)

My favorite color is PINK for cohos! There is no other color that works better for coho. Orange comes in second and black is overlooked.

The Pink Pimp, pretty much a triple articulated bugger...

get a 1/0 oct. hook on some braid, take that braid lay it over a shank of a #4 hook tie a pink crystal bugger whip it off then take the tag and lay it over another shank with a massive cone on it then tie another crystal bugger without the marabou.... Cut the eye off the rear #4 and the bends off both of them and there you have it.

apply named for its ability to smack HO's

Does that fish best when striped or dead drift? Either way it looks good!

My Pattern, the "flesh fly" works better at a dead drift.
