Fished last weekend with a friend of mine. The ice and snow has kept fishing pressure down on one of our tailwater rivers and we managed to pick up a number of nice browns. Most were slight takes on eggs but a few smacked big streamers. These fish were both 17 inches.

This brown was about 14 inches

We even caught a double while fishing a deep run. (All fish released, they were only on the ice for the pic. :) )

When I got back to my truck I saw these Amish buggies.

One of the horses was tied to a light pole just out of the sight on the left o fmy truck. The other 2 horses are actually in the picture. You can see the rear-end of one horse if you look at the passenger compartment of the first buggy to the right of my truck. They were tied to a picnic table in the background. The horses had fitted blanket type coats on. The amish were ice fishing on a frozen lake a short distance away.

You didn't happen to take any water temps while you were out, did you?
I'm curious. Water has been 32 to 33 up by me (even during the last warm spell), and I haven't been able to BUY a hook-up. With that amount of action, I have to believe your temps had to be in the mid to upper 30's. Did you check it?

I didn't check it...but it is a tailwater. The air temp was 47. The water temp was probably up as well. This was in Ohio last weekend.
