jelous? Yes!;) , just love fishing with gummy bears:D You ever tried just making a tail with the stuff and building the rest of the fly with materials for a little added movement? To me that is the most deadly part of a streamer is how much movement and the wide silouhuette you can make by using regular materials. I take it that is what you make that one sac fry pattern out of?

Is that the Avalanche hole? Ill mostly be on the S. Platte, heard great things so far about the Spring run....everyone knows ill post pictures when i get back.

Fry Sac pattern? I made a fry, with the silly skin, but it looked like crap, that stuff is actually not that easy to work with. How do you like that Smolt? Im quite proud of that creation....

It looks good, but you had to know I was going to give you a hard time, I have never used it before. I imagine it would be hard to work with. Do you have to heat it to make it cure?

No, its sticky like tape. It adheres to itself but, you have to have it lined up right the first time, there is no second tries.

Hey, i heard you bought $200 in materials the other day, lets see the flies man!

Didn't you know that the old rusty van by the river is actually Kory's resale outfit? ;) He buys stuff all over the place and sells it down by the river with a 100% mark up. :D

Sounds like a good business plan. A streamside mobile fly shop.:D Anyway the real reason I can't tie is I accidentally knocked my vise off the table and well it broke. So no tying until I can buy another one...

With all this snow I sat down and tied an army of Headbanger Hexes in pink and orange. I also tied a few with the standard philoplume tails. I am heading to the PM this weekend with a friend and needed to stockpile on flies. I just tied up some of the PM standards - nothing too fancy.

Sorry, this pic is a bit blury...

Ok Jordan, top left is a white bunny spey which is on a AJ hook, but I tie a lot of these on aluminum tubes as well. left is an intruder tied on a waddington shank. bottom is a marabou spey on a copper tube. And the 3 on the right are all bunny leeches tied on tubes....

Nice Bum. I have just never gotten into tying Flies on plastic tubes...seems awkward to me, i do however try to tie as many "articulated" flies as possible now, they work well and just look good, and if you get a few down they seem almost as easy as plain-old flies, with a few extra steps..worth it!

Lets see some more Flies everyone!

Here's some serious fly porn for ya. I'm heading up a donation for Reel recovery which is an orginization which helps Cancer Survivors deal with what they have been through by taking them on get aways where they teach them fly fishing. Myself and a fellow rod builder are heading it up and so far we have 15 custom built fly rods, $1000, and 1,892 flies in boxes to donate to them. Here's a pic of the flies so far:cool:

I prefer compartment boxes for steelhead nymphs and eggs mostly because I'm lazy about placing all the flies in nice and neat. My favorite box is cheap and holds a ton of flies because it has two sides. It also fits nicely in the front pocket of a jacket or pack. Looks like this...
