Fished my favorite river once again today with pretty good results. even though the was the first trip of the year where my guides froze, the day went very well. as far as kings go, i saw the most today, both on gravel and in holes, that i have all year in the upper river. many of these fish were pretty fresh and i found a few good takers but there are a lot of ugly ones too. even though i did get into some nice kings, i spent most of the day fishing runs and pockets and some deeper holes behind or around gravel looking some real good takers. lots of trout, nothin real big, no steel. but what did almost rip the rod right out of my hand and go on a few blazing runs was a beautiful 6-7 pound coho. i thought it was a steelie at first but it made my day just the same. took a couple pics(which do it no justice) and he was sent on his way. Needless to say, it was a very pleasant suprise, it had my heart racing and my hands shaking for a few minutes after i had already released him. tight lines ~Bill

Thanks a lot for your help. Like i said before, the pics dont do the fish much justice. it was an even nicer looking fish in person. thanks again, i hope it wasnt too much trouble. ~Bill
Nice picture!
Still waiting for a coho myself and the river I have been fishing has plenty of them.
