Anybody seeing any deer?

Yesterday was a bust for me. I went out both in the AM and PM, nothing seen. It was very calm and quiet out there.

Seen 3 in my first day out on this past sunday. Hunted the PM and didn't see a deer. I would have to beleive that with the afternoon temps, the deer are moving later in the evening, when we all are outa the woods.

I hunt my in-laws property in vestaburg. It's been an awesome year. Nothing very big yet... usually someone has seen a nice one while hunting by now...Lots of little bucks (2's, 4's, 6's). i shot a little eight point 14" inside spread. Have a really nice 10pt running around... have spotted him twice while shinning but haven't seen him in my stand. Very nice mass and spread is 4-6" outside the ears.

so nobody's seeing any deer around the Baldwin area? I hunt south of there and am trying to decide wether to come up there for opening day or stay down in Calhoun county like Bob stated before its a tradition of going up there and my Dad got a nice 10 point up there a couple years ago just thats all we've see other than does... Hey Bob do you have any pics saved up there in the shop? you came out and took a pic just wondeing if you still have it... anyway any help is appreciated

Just a FYI. My in laws have a cabin north of Baldwin on Wolf Lake. Usually when driving around on the back roads we see alot of deer. This past spring, summer and fall (sept), we didn't hardly see anything.

Not trying to keep you away from the area at all, as I don't know alot about the deer herd, but this is my own observation over the above mentioned times.

Hey bob I am a fellow Calhoun Hunter myself and we are seeing a ton of deer. Watched a monster ten pointer make two rubs and a scrape 45 yards from my stand saturday morning. Will be at it again this weekend. Havent witnessed any chasing yet but it will be soon.

hey chrome are you talkinbg about in calhoun or up in BAldwin? I just talked to my dad loost like we are goin up sat sun and hunt mon mornin n I have to work at 6 mon night so I have to come home :(
