I was wondering if anyone had any good hex nymph patterns. I like bears hex, but they take a while to tie and require alot of materials. any info would help, thanks.

Another good Bear Andrew's pattern is his head-banger if you don't segment the body and just use clear mono or fine gold wire for ribbing like you would on Bear's Hex.

Antron hex/bug. Easy and fast, the steelies/kings and browns like them. If the browns like them you know they are good as they see our flies all year. Look it up.

Second the Antron bug. Also Schmidt's Hex is an easy tie and I've gotten a lot of fish on it. Another one I started using last fall for steelies was Galloup's Hex and it worked quite well for me through fall, winter, and spring. It's an extremely easy tie and seems effective. Not sure if you'll find it online, so here's the recipe:

Hook: #8-#10 egg hook (I like the Daiichi X-Points)
Tail: Ginger rabbit strip barred w/ brown marker (although I started tying
them w/ Bar-dyed Zonker strips...saves a step)
Body: Cream dubbing (I also had good success with light olive)
Hackle: Brown partridge
Wingcase: Strip of rabbit tail used for tail pulled over body/hackle
Eyes: black mono eyes

You can whip up a bunch of these in short order, which is what I like.

I have always wanted to tie something like this so i did and i think it turned out alright, its nothing to tie once youve got the epoxy figure it might wiggle

I like the China Shop Hex from Hawkins Outfitters. Also imitates a fry, has lots of good movement and fairly easy to tie.

I tied up some antron hexes, they look great in water. Not as good as bears hex though. thanks everyone.

Mike Mercer's Rag Hex Pattern is probably the fastest & easiest one I have found to tie and it has definitely been the most effective for me. It has all the movement of a jointed pattern without all the time consuming stuff that goes with tying jointed patterns. Check it out...

Deus Ex Machina,
Ray's antron really needs to be fished in faster moving water. They can/t have a lot of time to inspect it. The slower the current the more they need to look authentic. Example..fishing some frog water with an indy rig It better look real. Just my two cents.
