I'm already looking at booking my trip for next year and I need some help. I stayed in a Hotel this year, but I'm looking at getting a cabin or lodge for this upcoming year. Does anyone have any advice? It would be really nice to find something that's right on a decent stretch of water so we could fish the evenings within walking distance of our cabin/lodge rather than having to drive.

Well the PM lodge has cabins right on the river BUT i personaly wouldnt pay the price they probaly want but thats just my opinion. There is also a Cabin on 72nd street (the rd to gereen cottage) that is rentable by the weekend/week or even by the day i believe. That cabin is not ON the water but its right across the rd from the lumber jack access to the river.

i stay at the pm lodge a few times a year and i enjoy it quite a bit. their rooms in the lodge and the smaller cabins are nice and if you want riverfront and have a decent size group there are two larger cabins right on the river. during peak season they serve breakfast and a very nice dinner that goes with price of the room. the prices are reasonable but a little more expensive during peak. they are worth a look as far as lodging goes. ive stayed in the smaller cabins, the lodge, and both of the larger cabins and would reccomend all three.

I have stayed at the Red Moose Lodge and Cloud 9 Cabins which are on the opposite end of Baldwin as BBT. Red Moose was a very nice place, but for cabins Cloud 9 are quite nice. Not real big but plenty of room for 2-4 people. They have a kitchen, bathroom, color TV, BBQ pits, bunk beds, pretty reasonably priced, I think less than 85/night but not sure of the real rates. BBT's website has a lodging page with their phone number, Rhonda is the owner, very nice. It's too bad the fellas at BBT shut down their house for lodging, it was very comfortable last year, hope the new full time tenants are nice. We're leaving this Friday for a 5 day trip to PM, can't wait as always. We have two new fly anglers to bring, hopefully we'll find enough fish to add them to the salmon addicts anonymous chapter!! See you soon Steve Bob Herb and all. -Zac

No they're not on the river, they're by the Government Lake Lodge, just on the edge of town. They are about a 5 minute car ride from the Green Cottage Access, or Claybanks, and about 25 minutes from Maple Leaf.

Government Lake Lodge for the record is a respectable place to eat while in Baldwin. :)

I own the two "lumberjack cabins" that have been rented out in the past by both Johnsons PM Lodge and *****. They both are right on the river and are right next to the Flint Rainbow Club. Currently, one sleeps 3, but there is a loft that we are going to access/build a stairway that will allow 4 more, and the other cabin currently sleeps 5-6. They aren't rentable this fall, but they were filled all of last Sept. and most of Oct. If you are interested, contact Rick Gulvas at 745-2308.

Brent,
I had those cabins reserved for last week and Rick cancelled because of a zoning problem???? Are they going to be available next September.??? I would like to rent them the same week I had reserved this fall. Let me know ASAP!
