Bought a pair of cabela's breathable light weight stocking foot waders on e-bay. they were factory second's and did not come with any paper work. my question is, how do you take care of these thing's? after a day of fishing do you simply hang the up or can you fold them up ? also bought a pair of slightly used wading shoes, any special care needed for these? thanks in advance, Jeff

I don't know just what is recomended, but I normally wear mine home, and take them off on the porch. I then hang them over the rail 'til I need them again (often the next day). If I am too far away to wear them home, I take them off and throw them in the back of my Explorer, or perhaps leave them under the cover of my drift boat. I think you can just about do anything with them. Some guys dry them out and then fold them up for storage. Those are the same guys that wash their trucks, so go figure ;) .

If you dont have electric boot driers that slip inside, it would be advisable to turn them inside out as much as you can, and let them air dry and breathe. For a day or two. It's kinda gross, but all kinds of fungus and mold can grow in dark moist places down there... not only does it stink and provide a great environment to get athlete's foot... it eventually eats away at the glue that keeps the seams intact. yeeck!

I let mine air dry for a day, then turn them inside out for a day. That way I know for sure they are completely dry inside and out. That is if I am not wearing them the following day. If I am, I hang them on a close line upside down.
