I love seeing posts like this! Very kind of you and if I ever lose something, I hope someone like you finds it. Let me know if you want me to post something in another forum for you too.

Call the shop, they have a list of rods/reels missing from a boat that flipped @Green Cottage and the guys name/number... Could have gone down stream a ways from there.
Always great to see some honest folks! :)

Turns out this was not one of my rods lost in the boat mishap on Friday.
Thanks for your honesty and great Sportsmanship Aaron.
Still looking for a St Crox, 8 wt. w/Ross Reel, & a Scott 5wt in a cloth sleeve, no reel.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Called the shop and all equipment does not fit the description of the setup I found so as of right now the rod/reel has not been claimed. The rod did not appear to have been soaking very long at all as it had minimal sand in the reel with no algae on the cork.

I met the owner of the rod (i beleive). He helped me release a fish and the next day I ran into him on the river. He said he had left the rod in the parking lot (green cottage) and was asking guys on the river if they had found it. This would have been the end of last week. He did not give a description of the rod. Unfortunately I never got his name. Maybe this description may give a clue.
I would describe him as in his forties, little heavy set, and dark complected-possibly native american or asian.
I hope someone knows of him...

He was with us from St. Louis, and left his name (Al) and the description of the rod at BBT. He is Chinese, and one great camp cook.
I'll mention it to him. Thanks.
