Heres that one rod I was building for myself which I took on the Ny trip and used. used it the whole trip and what a dream to cast this blank is. Fit my taste in action perfectly. Fast butt and mid section but a more moderate tip feel in the latter 2 foot of the tip.
This rod about made me quite rod building  I did the single turn trim bands on this one and I decided to do both the inner&outer wraps (4 single trims per eye). So theres a total of 56 single turn trim bands in all counting the hook keep, witness marks etc etc....
Blank is CTS 9'6" Affinity plus (Golden Plum color) I got from Andy Dear of Lamar. Reel seat is a custom burned brown trout from Les Frieborg of "Inserts by Les". Copana, rubberized, foam, and cork were used for the handle&fighting butt. All gold hardware with 2 strippers (tameing guide). Elk butt cap on fighting butt, knurled aluminum winding check, 4 feather JC inlay, and witness marks at both 20" and 30".
Spent a solid 18-20hours of actual work time in this one (trim bands took most of that time) but I feel it was worth it.
