Some surf flies

Well haveing never tied a fly for surf fishing I set out in serch of info "surfing" (pun intended :D ) the net today. After gathering some info and then reading the Surf fishing article TFF, I then made a trip down to the local fly shop and purchased some new materials for tying some surf flies.

Heres what I have come up with so far tonight as a variety of flies.

Those look like they might work for some browns on the PM.

is that all just EP fiber?

The white bottom half on them is all EP fiber. But the top of the first one is a sparkle midge fiber, top of second one is simpley called "fly hair" from the local shop (much like a hair from a craft stor). top of 3rd fly is called "crinkle fiber" (very much like EP fiber only wavey) then the top of the third is all angle hair with some peacock swords mixed in.

they look really nice.........!!!! The one on the left and the one on the far right would definitely work down here for snook on the beaches in the summer !!!!!!!!!!!!! They would all work but definitely those two specifically...................:D

spoons are great in the surf!!! Oh, were talking fly tying. if you can make a fly look like a 5-eyed cleo I might have to buy some:rolleyes:
