Not that I'm aware of, that's of importance. But I do believe they are going to make some lower end trout reels. To be honest, I'm at home right now and will have to check when at the store. But I doubt you have to worry about any of the older model's being made cheap. I'll know more tomorrow.

I can't find anything in my lit here at the store that suggests Ross is making any type of cast reel.

Man, I hope none of that is true. I just bought a Ross Rhythm 7wt last weekend. Would hate to buy another one, and have it be a peice of crap.

What do you guys think about the Ross Reels at BBT? I have heard from a few other people on different sites, that they love 'em and have yet to have a problem with them. This reel was bought for Salmon, but I will probally use it for Steelies as well.

Any input?

Thanks

For what it is worth, Ross is marketing a reel called the flywater. It is cast and is made in England I believe not china. It carries a one year warranty. All other reels at this time are still made in the good ol USA. They are sized thru a six weight so no big fish reels yet but for around a $100.00 they will sell well!
