New Rod!!

Hasn't got here but is on the way, so I thought I would post a few pics from Steeldrifter, the maker of my custom 9foot drift rod!:D

My favorite part is the butt cap, never thought that could be anybodies favorite part of the rod!





Also really like the King Salmon decal on it, adds alot to a rod

I like the grip, wasn't sure what it looked like until I saw it but I have a feeling I will really like it!


Once again, A BIG thanks to Steeldrifter for making this rod. I will show you how to school a few salmon on a spinning rod on the 23rd!:cool:

I left about 20 minutes after you and the fishing was still not heating up, about 8 guys came in and just started chuckin flies which I wasn't to happy about!:mad: Just left after that, I would have invited some of them to fish but they just walked right in.
Was a great time fishing with you! we may need to meet up again!!

I don't know anyone outside of the forums except buttonfly, I just met him on the river Saturday. He was working a run and walked up to a run he had been working a bit ago and hooked a fish on my third cast I think it was, (i also have to mention it was foul) Then I moved on to the BIG BEND at Sulak and we fished there prolly half the day with only a few hook ups.

Once again, it was great fishing with you we'll have to do it again!

I asked if he tied his own, then said I tie, then said I just got 50 flies out of a swap I hosted, he asked what site, asked my name.
Somthing like that.
I wer brown waders usually around my waist not all the way up, tan fly west and that sweet rod,!! im also 15, that narrows it down! say hi if you see me.
alot of fun to meet people from the site!

Thats awesome, its crazy how people can meet up like that. I know I've seen Steve on the river, but other than that, I have no idea how many others I've met without realizing it.

I'll have to start examining the flyrods of teenagers I see on the PM. Maybe I'll run into you some time.

WOW! i got the rod today and it was there the greet me when I came inside! The first thing I noticed when i picked it up is how soft the handle is! WOW never had one that nice.
I cant thank you enough! hope to show ya how to "PROPERLY" fish a salmon this weekend.:D

All the guys I know I have meet ethier on FTF, TFF or here at BBT's site. Once you start talking to someone on the sites about fishing then it usually isnt long until your paths cross on the river and you recognize someone from their avatar or some pics they posted.

You know if your gonna be on the Pm yet this weekend Alex? I think we're planning on coming up ethier tomorrow evening or friday and staying till about tuesday. Then we'll be back up next friday till the following tuesday as well.
