Took dad, 80, out on a spinner trip yesterday (7-15). We ran PM mid-section and had a great day with beautiful weather. With the bright sunshine we were happy to find a nice stain in the water which was perfect for spinning. During our lunch conversation, we figured dad's 15" brown was going to be the largest fish of the day. At 1:30, the first cast after our steak lunch, dad, the master, tosses a gold Mepps #3 into unlikely looking water ; I look up to see chrome bursting from the water!! It taped out at 28" and the memory is forever etched in my mind. Looking forward to my next trip with dad.
Thanks ,dad, for getting me started trout fishing over 35 years ago!!

Excellent memorie to have. Sounds like you had a good time. I took Pa down the mid-section last year trying to get a King on the line for him but could'nt get one to go. Hopefully this year we can get him hooked up. Its not the catching as much as it is the memories we will have come the day they cannot go down the river with us and enjoy the great outdoors we have here in Michigan. Good luck and tight lines!!!!!!!
