6' 2/3wt rod for Niece's teacher

My 8 yr old niece's last day of school is next week and her teacher that she had this year is the same teacher I had back about 25 yr's ago. He was alway's my favorite teacher when I was in school and now he's been my nieces favorite teacher as well. He just started fly fishing a few years ago and is really biten by the fly fishing bug from the sounds of it. When he substituted as a gym teacher a couple weeks ago he taught a whole group of 7/8 yr olds "fly casting" as the activity in gym that day LOL:D :cool:

So on the last day of school all the kids bring their teacher a gift, and my niece asked me "uncle Steve, what can I give Mr. M that is something for fly fishing"? - So I told her not to worry and I would take care of her gift to him for her. So next week this teacher is gonna get a pretty special gift from a lil' girl carrying a rod tube with a custom built fly rod in it into his class:D

Steve, that is really a nice thank you from both you and your neice. That is a great tribute to many of the great teachers out there. I'm sure he will cheerish this gift and probably wet it with a few tears.

It's a mortized Ebony reel seat. They are pretty nice little inserts for the price.
