Are there regulated hours on the pm for floating a driftboat during the summer months? Also, are certain sections of the river that can be drifted during the evening and late evening hours? Thanks in advance.

From the forest service rule book, "Watercraft permits are required from May 15 through Septemper 10. During this time period, watercrafts hours are from 9:00 am to 6:pm. It applies to all sections I believe. Hope this helps.

I know it says that water craft hours are until 6:00, but I have never had a problem while fishing. I am quite sure that those folks who guide on the PM are on the river for the evening hatch, almost every day of trout season. I am just as sure that there would be trouble if a livery was dump 12 canoes in the river at 7:00 PM. I think there be a double standard here that works in our favor.

The hours do not apply to fishing craft, but you do need the float permit if you are using federal land or launches...
