Hey everyone... I've got a young(2-3 yr. old) beagle that I adopted last spring. I've had decent success training her so far, she listens well(shock collars rock!), and has done well the couple times we've hunted. I wonder if there's anyone out there with experience running beagles that would be willing to share knowledge, or better yet, let her and me hunt with some seasoned hounds. We live in the GR area, but are somewhat flexible to travel. I have a few spots that we hunt, but haven't found anyplace w/ abundant rabbits. We usually have the best luck running the Kent Trails system around here(unarmed of course), but it sucks calling her off bunnies when she's flushing 3-6 per mile off the edges of the bike path! Please send me a email,pm, or reply to this tread if you have anything helpful.
Thanks,
Brandan G.

tips i think from what iv read the best thing for her is to get the rabbit and let her enjoy the moment and thats gonna make a rabbit dog or any game dog real quick. right now i have a 1 year old dog and shes an alright dog but with this lack of snow we havent been out that much(the dog dosent need it but it makesa it much easier to train a dog where you know theres aot of rabbits)and it dosent sound bad trying to hook up some time if we get snow to get the dogs nosees out if nothing.
