Posted from another board I visit:

Hi Everyone,

Those of you who know me know I live and hunt in the Plainwell area of Michigan (north of Kalamazoo, south of Grand Rapids). I just received some bad news from my friend Brad Gordon, who hunts with me on one of my neighbor's property. Yesterday, December 18, 2005 at 11:00am, Brad killed a really nice 10 pointer. He figures it'll go 145-150 inches...he gutted it, tagged it, and even took several pictures of it. Then he walked back to his truck to get his sled to drag it out and when he returned an hour later, the buck was GONE! Snowmobile tracks ran right up to it and left the scene.

Being on foot in deep snow is no situation to be following snowmobile trails and we got 5 inches of snow last night so I'm doubtful I can follow much with my 4 wheeler at this point.

Here is a picture of the buck taken right as Brad walked up to the buck. It was a 20 yard shot was all and the buck only made it 30 yards before piling up.

We are calling all local taxidermists, meat processors, and the DNR in case this slimeball(s) try taking it in anywhere...I doubt they know there are photographs...

Please, if you are from our area at all, be on the lookout, or keep an ear open to anyone claiming to have shot a nice 10 pointer recently and let us know if you hear anything at all. I know it's a shot in the dark, but I also know how extremely fast word and emails spread when a nice buck gets shot, so maybe, just maybe, someone will see the pics and recognize it....

Please let us know if you have any information at all....send this link to as many people as you can, and copy the photos into emails to all your friends (once I post them!)... you can email me at jarrod@bloodbro.com

What a nice buck! I know one hunter in the K-Zoo area. I will send this link and let him know. Good thinking on the post! It may not be as much of a long shot as you think. This type of stuff gets passed around pretty quickly. Let us know if the "loser(s)" get(s) caught!!!!
