If you use the search on the bottom of the form that I have given you a link to in my first posting, search for (jigs) you will fine more. This is the best that I have found for jigs. It's easy to make jigs, what hard is finding a good jig hook. Does anyone know where to get good jig hooks? Please HELP.

"OWNER" makes a really good jig hook BBT may carry some of there hooks if not here is a good place to get them.

I have never tried these "VMC" jig hooks but heard good things about them:

vmc jig hooks are by far the best hook out there, for steelhead fishing. the hooks bend instead of break like others. In the last four yours ive yet to have one break or bend out to the point of losing fish.

Vmc jig hooks; looking to buy some, but not sure of how the sizes work, can some that a picture with a coin next to the hook. Looking for the #6 #4 #2 #1 sizes. Or does any one where I can buy them, so I can look at them first.
I'm in the Grand Rapids Area.

How do you usually fish these jigs?

You fish them under a float "bobber" you can fish them plain or tip them with a small spawn bag, wax worm, or wigglers.

For a 1/64 oz. Jig I would use a size 6
For a 1/32 oz. Jig I would use a size 4
These are the only sizes I use in michigan using the 1/64 at least 90% of the time. These hook sizes go perfect with that amount of weight.
I currently have been tying with Daichi Bleeding Bait Jig hooks and they seem to be much better than the Owner hooks I was using before. "personally I would never want a hook that bends like he said the VMC do" when metal bends it weakens it and I would be afraid knowing they bend that I would lose that monster I have always dreamed of because a hook bent......
