Family Fare Deer

Did anybody see this on the news the other night; in case you missed it there was a 3 pt. that decided to do some shopping at the Family Fare in Allendale, MI. Apparently it just walked in, went back to the bakery section and shortly after two guys escorted the deer out. I don't claim to know a whole lot about deer activity but this seems unlike the deer any deer movement I have seen in the past :D . I was wondering if anybody had heard anything else about this story and if so what are your thought why on earth would a deer end up in a grocery store, I've heard of deer crashing through windows and ending up in some odd places... but never have I heard of a deer walking in to a grocery store, maybe they know somthing we don't or possibly disease??? Another one decided to go to the local nursing home in Alma Mich. and jump throough the window to get inside. It ended up getting itself stuck in the window the day after that one in allendale.

Recently this has become a national problem. Here in Missouri we have had several deer building incidences. One in particular that comes to mind was when a doe and her fawns all jumped into a daycare center. Luckily no children were hurt when the doe jumped through the window and her fawns followed. They walked through the faciliy and the doe looked back at the two fawns and fled through the back door. The fawns stayed in a corner very quietly till animal control came to get them. The next day the doe was outside the building in front trotting back and forth. The daycare phoned animal control and they returned to the daycare with the fawns let them out and the three of them bounded off together into the woods nearby.

There are several other instances in Illinois as well. It seems that this is a growing problem and quite possibly organized because of the increased activity in other wildlife. Racoons and possums seem to be invading our urban areas at an alarming rate. The oncoming Avian Flu. Just look at Steves fishing report on 11/4 there is a grouse/partridge being handled as a pet, quite possibly just sent in to infiltrate another human camp.

Now im not a deer expert but deer mainly bucks do some stupid stuff in the pursuit of does.and another thing is deer are curiouse and if they see a reflection they may try to chase it off or maybe even play with it
