Justin shot 7pt last week end at 40yds after passing lots of does and smaller bucks.
Jeff missed the buck we all have been hopping to get a crack at. Seems the 3d clothing got hung up on his bow string. To bad cause he has passed up lots of shots to find out he had a bad angle in the stand that tied him up with his equipment. He did kill the tree, know tracking on that one.
Last night he decided to take a doe and make sure he could pull off the shot and equipment was in tune with him. Doe on the pole and he is ready to go after that big 10.
During pre visit with land owners this year we always here talk of going to sell the land due to returns are to low and taxes are to high. Well its happen this week when pulling up to hunt we saw lots of equipment in the field clearing the fence rows out and perk test takeing place. Its funny cause we are in farm area and land is hard to get for housing but we did not think of all farmers he would do this. Well that's what we get for thinking. We can not purchase all the land we hunt so some will be lost and some more i hope will be gained.
The young hunters are blowing this off but us old timers know this is a bad thing due to we have been threw it to many times and this was one spot we are going to go the extra mile and try to stop this sale to the public. It will have negative affects on other camp hunting and may open a door in this area we will not be able to shut.
It seems like we have to deal with this stuff every three yrs or so and is getting to the point you just can not justifie the cost. But we all want are kids and there kids to be able to hunt so its up to us.
