To the two low lifes who found themselves under arrest Sunday afternoon on the Big South Branch for snagging steelhead with your 4 inch dia treble hooks just know it was brought about by courtesy of this resident ex-cop and it only cost me one thin dime. Lord only knows what it will cost you. To those comptemplating similiar actions know that I am not moving anytime soon and I have plenty of dimes left. Tight lines :>)

Well done Streamlover. I am considering getting another cell phone just for my boat. That way I won't be out there "unarmed".

Ahhhh, your the guy that got me bust. THANKS ALOT....just kidding
Good for you. Isn't victory great when you see those a-holes get busted. During salmon season I work with the DNR at least once a week helping them bust these idiots. Once I got a 200$ reward check from them ;) Thanks for pulling out the cell and making that call.
Onto another note, what cell service allowed you to call RAP out on the river??? I don't have a prayer with my phone between muskegon and 20 mile of manistee leaving the PM and Big M, ect outta the question on busting these idiots.

Unfortunately I get zero cell reception as well. Fortunately I live here so the hard phone was within minutes from the river. Justice is truly sweet and the DNR officers were extremely professional and cooperative. I still think there should be an open season on them with a bounty!!!Tight Lines...Like a noose!!

I always have my cell phone with me. The reception in the flies only area is not very good. I get the best reception down river.
I turned in three groups of snaggers last fall and know they all got "busted", big time. I have been on the watch for the ones who have been using spawn in the "flies only" area. We now have the direct number to the dispatch so someone can be on the way in minutes.
Rest assured that if I see you breaking the law, I am going to turn you in... I have devoted too many years of nurturing Salmon, Steelhead and Trout, to let anyone take them in an unethical manner.

I was just wondering how everyone handles trespassing? When I see someone trespassing I usually tell them just a reminder guys thats private property and it looks to be well posted and if they blatantly ignore the postings and cut directly across someones property, I report them, after all it is the same thing as breaking any other law! And if we respect one law we should respect all the laws!
