Collect actual food samples and compare actuals to artificials to match the hatch. |

Dry fly and nymph fishing tactics will be demonstrated and used in appropriate areas of the river. We will begin to learn how to find fish, present the fly properly, hook, play and release the fish. It will also give us a chance to discover and over-come some of the difficulties of small stream fly fishing. |

Head out to the river for a brief casting review. The morning will be spent learning how to fish nymphs and streamers, understanding trout behavior, selecting the proper flies, reading water and practicing fish fighting skills. |

We will spend the afternoon learning how to fish the dry fly properly. Learning upstream and downstream presentations along with slack-line cast that will help you properly present the dry fly. |
