7:00pm Wine and cheese reception and introductions.
7:30pm Equipment Basics - The Matched System
Flies - The basic types, sizes, what they represent, construction basics.

Tippet - The X system, size and strength.
Leaders - Construction and tapers.
Lines - Weight, taper and function.
Rods - Length, weight and action.
Reels - Types, size, drag, set-up and backing.
Gear - Waders, vest, etc..

8:00am Breakfast, show up dressed comfortably.
8:45am Get ready to hit the stream.
9:00am Depart for morning casting clinic. If you have a rod that you'd like to get acquainted with, feel free to bring it along.
9:15am Casting Clinic.

1:00pm Back to camp for lunch.
2:15pm Trout foods and basic entomology: Mayflies, Caddisflies, Terrestrials, Bait Fish.
3:00pm Collect actual food samples and compare actuals to artificials to match the hatch.
3:30pm Dry fly and nymph fishing tactics will be demonstrated and used in appropriate areas of the river. We will begin to learn how to find fish, present the fly properly, hook, play and release the fish. It will also give us a chance to discover and over-come some of the difficulties of small stream fly fishing.
6:30pm Dinner.
Sunday
8:00am Breakfast
9:00am Head out to the river for a brief casting review. The morning will be spent learning how to fish nymphs and streamers, understanding trout behavior, selecting the proper flies, reading water and practicing fish fighting skills.
12:00pm Lunch
1:00pm We will spend the afternoon learning how to fish the dry fly properly. Learning upstream and downstream presentations along with slack-line cast that will help you properly present the dry fly.
4:30pm Head back to BB&T.
5:00pm Graduation
